Hawkesbury Harvest is a community-based project aimed at improving the economic sustainability of local agriculture.'
Conceived as a natural extension of the Hawkesbury Food Program, Hawkesbury Harvest aims to increase consumer access to nutritious, safe foods while developing the opportunity for agri-based tourism.
Drawing representatives from a wide range of interest areas, members of Hawkesbury Harvest share a common commitment to preserving the farming and agricultural heritage of the region.

The rich green farmland, the country lanes, the chances to meet the people who grow your food and who will allow you to taste, buy and learn. This what the Farm Gate Trail & the Farmers and Gourmet Food Market experience is all about.When you do take the time to smell the roses, taste the fruits and share a yarn at the farm gate, you'll also know that you're making a difference for our farmers as you wind your way along the Trail or stroll around the Market.

Farmers Market
Markets are on at the second Saturday of each month except for January at the Castle Hill Showground, Castle Hill. The start at 8am, get their early. (Over 40 store holders plenty of variety)The market offers the freshest of produce and tempting gourmet foods including fresh meats, assorted cheeses including goats cheese, fresh and smoked seafood, olives and olive oils, woodfire sourdough bread, pastries, cakes, fresh pasta and sauces, jams and preserves, gourmet sausages, pates and assorted deli products, fresh fruit and vegetables, coffee, confectionery, herbs, plants and fresh cut flowers, plus lots more specialty products. The Farm Gate Trail winds it way from the Hornsby Shire in the east through Baulkham Hills and onto the Hawkesbury Valley and Mountains upto Mt Irvine in the west.
