Getting to various locations within The Hawkesbury from Sydney....

Travelling By Car

Hawkesbury Heartland

Access to Dural and Wisemans Ferry is best via Hills M2 Motorway to the Castle Hill exit. Follow the Metroad 2 signs to Castle Hill Road then follow Tourist Drive 15 along Old Northern Road through Dural all the way to Wisemans Ferry (approx 90 minutes from the city).

Hawkesbury Valley

To Windsor/Richmond 75 minutes from the city via Hills M2 Motorway to the end then northwest along Old Windsor Road and Windsor Road right through to Windsor. Follow the Metroad 2 signs.

Hawkesbury Highland

Go to Windsor/Richmond 75 minutes from the city via Hills M2 Motorway to the end then northwest along Old Windsor Road and Windsor Road right through to Windsor. Follow the Metroad 2 signs. From Richmond take the Bells Line of Road west to Bilpin/Kurrajong.

Sydney Hills

Castle Hill and Baulkham Hills are 35 minutes from the city via Hills M2 Motorway. Follow the Metroad 2 signs.

From the south and west use the Westlink M7 which connects directly with the M4 and M5 motorways. The Westlink M7 has interchanges with Richmond Road and Norwest Boulevard. For more information call 13 TOLL (13 8655)

Hawkesbury River Gateway

Brooklyn is around 50 minutes north of Sydney. Take the Pacific Highway north from Sydney and then the Sydney Newcastle Freeway.

Tourists and Visitors Using NSW Roads - Cashless Tolls

The Roads and Traffic Authority has provided information for visitors about how to get an RTA E-Toll pass or RTA short-term tag to use on NSW Toll roads including the Harbour Bridge. If interstate tourists and visitors have interstate e-tags they can use them on NSW toll roads. Travelling By Rail and/or Bus

Sydney Hills

Trains operate on both the Northern Line to Pennant Hills Station and Western Line to Parramatta Station where connecting bus services will bring you to the Sydney Hills district.

Express buses operate to and from the City via the M2 Hills Motorway.

Hawkesbury Valley

Trains operate directly from Sydney to Windsor and Richmond.

Hawkesbury Highlands

Take a train from Sydney to Richmond and then a bus from Richmond.

Hawkesbury River Gateway

Trains run directly from Sydney to Hornsby/Brooklyn.

Hawkesbury Heartland

Take a train to Windsor Station and then a bus from Windsor to Wisemans Ferry.
