Mulgrave got its name from Lieutenant Governor Francis Grose, who settled the first 22 settlers 'Mulgrave Place' in honour of his friend Lord Mulgrave whose patronage he had enjoyed in England. 

Mulgrave occupies its own Railway station, only a 1 hour trip from Central Station, Sydney.
