Applications are open for the 2019 Harding Miller Foundation Operatic Scholarship helping amplify the voice of female opera singers in Australia. Applications close on Thursday 31st January.

The scholarship will provide $30,000 worth of funding over two years to help a talented female opera singer in Australia boost their career.  “The Harding Miller Foundation is very proud to be funding an Operatic scholarship for Australian women this year. At Harding Miller Foundation we are on a mission to help support women in education and the arts and our new Operatic Scholarship is a wonderful way of doing this. The scholarship is available to any mid-career female opera singers and will provide the successful applicant with $30,000 worth of support over the next two years,” says Cara Varian CEO of Harding Miller Foundation.

“The successful scholarship recipient will be able to use the funds to support study and travel either domestically or internationally.  They may choose to use the funding to help with course or tuition fees, living expenses, audition expenses or travel expenses. This is a great opportunity and we encourage any female opera singers to jump online and apply before the end of this month,” adds Cara.

The Harding Miller Foundation funds projects that support women, education, the arts and the environment. Currently, the Foundation primarily invests in projects in Australia that improve the educational opportunities and achievement of girls and women. The investment is designed to elevate and empower women to take on roles of leadership and excellence in their chosen field.

The Harding Miller Foundation Operatic scholarship is worth $30,000, payable in two instalments of $15,000 over two years.

Applications close on 31st  January 2019 for projects starting after July 1st  2019.
